ING Commercial Banking in Russia Offers New “ROUND” Customs Card to Corporate Clients

ING Bank (Eurasia) ZAO jointly with LLC Multiservice Payment System has begun issuing “ROUND” customs cards, which can be used for real-time payment of all types of customs charges either online or directly at customs posts. The service is available to companies working under foreign trade contracts. To take advantage of it they must have a ruble current account in ING Bank and open an additional account for settlements using the new card. Upon request, a client can be issued with several cards linked to the same bank account for use by employees or customs brokers.

Using the Personal Account service, clients with ROUND customs cards can make payments indicating the required budget classification code, obtain a detailed bank statement, check their account balance and generate statements on individual operations. In addition, the new card eliminates the need for companies to divert funds for advance customs payments.

The ROUND customs card can only be used to make customs payments for the cardholder company, and the money will be transferred to the Federal Customs Service’s (FCS) account in the RF Treasury. This is convenient, safe and transparent, and is an efficient tool for working with the customs authorities and customs representatives (brokers). There is no risk of fraud with the card.

Oleg Krylov, Head of Transactional Banking Services, comments: “The ROUND customs card helps to reduce the time spent and minimize the cost of customs clearance of goods, while allowing the client to forget about advance payments and diverting turnover capital. The Russian FCS is currently doing everything it can to simplify life for companies involved in foreign trade by introducing card technologies. With your Personal Account within the ROUND payment system you can keep a close watch on all your operations and account balances. We are delighted that this product will help our clients to develop their businesses.”
