    Why do we sponsor projects?

    Sponsorship should benefit everyone involved. For ING, this means making a commercial decision. The relationship with the sponsored organisation, activity or event should provide ING with branding, marketing and PR opportunities.

    Global sponsorship programmes

    ING Group has developed three global sponsoring programmes:

    • ING Globerunners supports marathons and other running events around the world, such as the ING New York City Marathon.
    • Art & Culture sponsors, for example, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam and the Amsterdam Rijksmuseum.
    • Our Child Education programme aims to provide primary school education for children across the world who would otherwise not get the chance to attend school. To this end, ING has developed a cooperation agreement with UNICEF. In addition, we encourage ING employees to volunteer in local projects that focus on child education.
