ING Commercial Banking in Russia has participated in the 7th Annual Russian Securities Forum 25/06/2010
ING Commercial Banking in Russia (ING CB in Russia) was an associate sponsor of the 7th Annual Russian Securities Forum, one of the most important Russian market events organized by IIR.
This year the Forum brought together the main participants of the Russian market including custodian banks, investment banks, Russian brokers, international investors and infrastructural organizations, and focused upon “Operational challenges and opportunities in the newly emerging securities infrastructure”, in particular on the new concept of CSD in Russia and the perspectives of Moscow to become an IFC. The Forum caused many spirited debates, showing that the topics raised were of much interest to the participants.
Lilla Juranyi, ING Commercial Banking Global Head Custody took an active part in the discussions at the Forum. Natasha Sidorova, Head Securities Services, ING CB in Russia, spoke on “Legends, Myths & Prophecies of the Russian Infrastructure”, elaborating on the following topics:
- In the past: legend insight;
- What is awaiting investors in Russia: myths and reality;
- Where we are going: name the game!
Among other speakers and panelists there were the Bank of Russia, NDC, DCC, Euroclear, Clearstream, Thomas Murray, VTB, Citi, Morgan Stanley and others.
